Where Did My Flowers Go?

It's a horse farm - not a deer farm!
There's probably about 15 or so more on the other side of this picture.  There's no hunting on this property, but even if there were, I've heard if you kill one, 20 will come to its funeral.

Deer's Rule!!

  1. Look at them all, just waiting for flowers to be planted. I'm glad I don't have that problem.

  5. You know what's funny about this picture, it's like you have a herd of deer in your pasture that you are raising instead of horses or cattle!! devon :)

  6. Nice photo, they look to be having a nice time relaxing on your land, and I am sure they are glad about there being no hunting on your land.

  7. Great photo of the deer. Those two bucks on the left remind me of "Push Me Pull You" in Dr. Dolittle :) I see you have JRT's! We have our one girl, Banjo.. your Gracie reminds me of her a lot! -Tammy

  9. LOL ... we too had that many last year in the golf course across the way. The township did a culling and now we hardly see any. Sad.

  10. How unusual to see them bedded down like that in the open. We get deer here, but never in such outrageous quantities.

I'm going outside later today to put up my new deer fencing experiment. I have to do something to help protect some of my new baby roses.

  12. I saw a fawn
    cavorting in the
    meadow behind my
    neighbor's house
    just last week and
    it was like a moment
    out of Bambi. I
    remind myself of
    this when my sunflowers
    have been eaten to
    nubs or the buds of
    my lilies disappear.
    How can you despise
    them when they are
    so dear/deer? {Hee hee!}

  14. Looks like where I'm living in SE Oklahoma. We have so many deer they think they own the place. Well I suppose they do.
