LET'S GO!
Much needed change of scenery is about to happen. Daughter and I are headed to Atlanta buying market the rest of the week. Hubby does the Chicago show and now it's our turn to take on Atlanta. We've never done this one before, so we are twitchy with excitement. I'm sure we will be dizzy from looking at all the products out there. Daughter has been busy working on her little gypsy caravan, so the market is a great place to go and get ideas and see what's out there for her to sale. It's also a good chance for market exhibitors to see the direction the new and young entrepreneur is going. She likes vintage, one if a kind, eclectic things. We have our little wheelie bags, big pocketbooks, good shoes, business cards all ready to head out. It's good to look for outdoor living things while we're there for hubby. So many people are turning those decks and screened in porches into covered living spaces these days. Do you have an outdoor living space? What makes it special and what's on your wish list to put out there - besides the big grill, of course. I'd love to hear your ideas.
I'll write when we return and tell you about our finds.
Later ~ Debi
How exciting! Hope you two have a great time and find wonderful treasures! Have room for one more?
ReplyDeleteI've heard the Atlanta shows are the best! I've done the NY ones. Eh.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time, take lots of pictures!!...
Have a great trip
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to that show, I've heard such great things about it. Have a wonderful time with your daughter! - We put up a very nice gazebo at the Little House and enjoy it briefly..sadly, the sea breezes (hurricane force) made quick work of that! xo
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time. I have always wanted to shadow a buyer! A friend had a cute eclectic gift shop and used to come back from Atlanta all excited about the fun things she found for her shop.
ReplyDeleteAs for outdoor living - man, when I see homes on the Parade of Homes the outdoor places make me swoon. I get lost in imagining a life of leisure, sitting out there with a good book, or having friends in to cook hotdogs or something. But... I look at how much time I actually spend on our porch and I wonder whether the outdoor room is just a 'dream'. A place to look at to get those feelings even if you don't have time to enjoy it!
I hate to say this, but hubby is so hooked on TV that having an outdoor TV would be one way I might convince him to come out and sit with me! As I live in Colorado where it gets chilly when the sun goes down, even on the hottest summer day, I'd like to have some sort of heat source; a radiant heater or perhaps a fireplace (maybe with a fan to spread that heat out a bit!)
Oh, you lucky lady. Can I jump in your bags?
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your daughter and be sure to take a lot of pics!

I would LOVE to have a screened in outdoor living space, but with Hubby retiring later this year we just don't know if we will be staying in this house or not. Time will tell... and should we move.... I WANT A SCREENED IN PORCH OR DECK OR SOMETHING!! LOL
ReplyDeleteHave fun, you two!!
I know you're having a ball! Keep an eye out for things for my porches!! I'm still staking out that spot for my hammock. We'll have over 125' of 10' deep porch up there PLUS the lower part.... geez what were we thinking?!
